I have been offered a job in Medan, Indonesia. I am looking for details and tips for living there.? Depending on how long you gonna stay at Medan, if you just gonna stay no longer than 3 months, pick a good hotel atleast with 4 stars reputation, if you're staying any longer, you can rent an apartment.
Frankly speaking, Medan is not a friendly place, high crime rate, people are rude, egoist, selfish and arrogant. The city is much polluted, dirty and road condition is bad, not to mention the rough traffic condition.
Not many local can speak english, so, if you can speak bahasa indonesia or hokkienese, will be very helpful.
Decent and clean food is considered expensive compare to the average income the local get. I have been offered a job in Medan, Indonesia. I am looking for details and tips for living there.?
