Try teaming up with a reputable, global rental company (TripAdvisor). It might be a slight investment up-front, but will get you some good exposure quickly. Then, set aside some of your earnings to start your own Web site. People don't need a lot of "flash" on your site - they will require, however, CURRENT contact information and PLENTY of pictures. Show people the value for the money, and you'll start booking in advance. And, if your house is on Phuket, send me some pictures. I am buried in snow. ;-)
